Lakewood Forest is one of the larger established communities in the area, featuring more than 2,600 homes, distinctive architecture, shaded residential streets, and properties built primarily during the later decades of the twentieth century. It is also the neighborhood I call home, so I know firsthand how convenient the location can be.
The community sits near Vintage Park, Willowbrook, Kickerillo Mischer Preserve, and the Cypress Creek corridor, giving you easy access to shopping, dining, recreation, and everyday services.
Lakewood Forest extends across portions of the Cypress-Fairbanks and Tomball school districts, so school zoning should be verified for each address.
Because the neighborhood grew over time, you’ll find a great mix of large lots, varied layouts, beautifully updated interiors, and backyards with sparkling pools.
Because I live here too, I know the streets, the daily commute, and the exact lifestyle you can expect when you make this corner of Cypress your home.

Coles Crossing is a master-planned community near U.S. 290 and Barker Cypress Road. The neighborhood includes residential villages, lakes, trails, recreation areas, and well-maintained landscaping developed over several decades.
Its location places you near everyday shopping and restaurants along Barker Cypress, Spring Cypress Road, and U.S. 290. The Boardwalk at Towne Lake is also within the broader area, giving you another excellent option for waterfront dining and community events.
The homes here were built across different timeframes, which means you get a fantastic range of layouts, upgrades, and overall looks. Because of that diversity, it is always a great idea to make sure the home you love is located in a neighborhood that fits your style.
Cypress continues to be one of Greater Houston’s most active areas for new construction. Options range from smaller homes and cottages to larger homes on wider lots, depending on the community, builder, and current phase.
If you are looking for that vibrant, resort-style vibe, Bridgeland is a massive favorite in western Cypress. It is basically its own little world, broken up into different villages with parks, miles of trails, massive lakes, and incredible community pools. Plus, it is a huge draw for sports fans now that the Houston Texans have announced plans to build their brand-new global headquarters and training complex right here in the community’s upcoming Toro District.
Because the overall neighborhood is so large, families get a ton of options from top-tier builders like David Weekley, Perry, and Chesmar. The community is constantly growing, with thousands of new homes going up in places like Prairieland and Creekland Villages.
Since it spans so much land, the actual day-to-day feel and drive times can vary wildly depending on which section you pick. I love discovering the different villages with my clients to help them explore and find their desired neighborhood.
Right down the road, Dunham Pointe is another fantastic hotspot for new construction that is getting a ton of attention. Situated just south of U.S. 290 near the Grand Parkway, it’s a smart alternative to Bridgeland if you want that brand-new home feel but prefer a completely different neighborhood layout and builder lineup.
It’s got a great, cohesive design and quick access to all the new shops and restaurants popping up in western Cypress. When clients want new construction but aren’t sure which neighborhood lifestyle aligns with their goals, comparing Dunham Pointe and Bridgeland side-by-side is one of my favorite ways to narrow down the search.
If your family loves a good staycation vibe, Marvida is another newer hotspot south of U.S. 290 that you absolutely have to look at. The crown jewel here is definitely The Island Amenity Village, which features a massive resort pool and its own lazy river. It is a huge hit for families who want that vacation feel right in their own backyard.
Because it spans over 850 acres, you get access to a great lineup of builders like Perry Homes, M/I Homes, and CastleRock. Prices here are incredibly competitive for new construction, making it an amazing option to throw into the mix alongside communities like Bridgeland or Dunham Pointe. I love exploring the different sections of Marvida with clients to help them discover if this community fits their lifestyle.
One of the best things about living in Cypress is that you don’t have to drive into downtown Houston to find incredible shopping, dining, and weekend plans. We have three main hotspots that completely anchor the community, and each offers a totally different vibe.
If you love a good shopping day, Houston Premium Outlets is a massive draw located right off U.S. 290. It is an outdoor, village-style center with over 140 designer and brand-name stores, including favorites like Nike, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Tory Burch.
It is incredibly convenient if you live in western Cypress, Fairfield, or Bridgeland, and it’s the perfect place to wrap up your back-to-school or holiday shopping without leaving town.

Cypress offers quiet mornings on the patio, peaceful afternoons by the pool, and lively evenings beside the water. You can browse the outlets, enjoy dinner at Towne Lake, spend time near Vintage Park, or watch entirely new sections of the community continue to take shape. Every corner tells a slightly different story of Cypress.
